| Our Mission:
Since their discovery,
various theories have been proposed regarding the
methods and motivations underlying the
construction of geoglyphs around the world. Our
purpose is not to speculate about reasons, nor methods
and practices.
Our sole mission is to
document these fragile artifacts of culture past, for
permanent record, for education, and to aid in the
development of policies that will preserve them for
generations to come.
The Registry:
Registration is open
to anyone. There are no fees. Simply enter
the information in our form to register a geoglyph.
Duplication is accepted, but duplicate entries will be
deleted.
Please fill in the
form to the best of your ability. In the case of
legitimate new discoveries, the new identification will
be passed to the cultural entity in the host country,
and to researchers involved in the specific area, for
further investigation.
Coordinates are
critical to the registry process. Please enter
accurate coordinates, since without them it is difficult
to locate the geoglyph referenced.
We encourage
investigators to either enter their geoglyphs via the
form, or you may submit multiple geoglyph information
via spreadsheet (with columns representing our fields)
to our email address below.
Inquiries:
You may email us about
a geoglyph to inquire if it is already in the registry.
It is best to send us a Google Earth .kmz file with the
location information (if possible).
